Inside Sienna Studio

If it's your first time getting tattooed, not knowing what to expect can make the whole thing feel more intimidating than it needs to be. Here's exactly what happens from the moment you walk in.

When you arrive

You'll come into my private studio and we'll sit down and talk through your idea before anything else. I'll show you the design, we'll discuss placement, and I'll answer any questions you have. Nothing starts until you're completely happy with the plan.

The stencil

Once we've agreed on the design I'll print a stencil and apply it to the placement we discussed. You'll get to look at it in the mirror and make sure you're happy with where it sits before I pick up the machine. If something's off we adjust it. Take your time with this part.

The actual tattooing

People always ask about the pain and the honest answer is it depends — on the placement, your personal pain tolerance, and how you're feeling that day. Most people describe it as a scratching or burning sensation. It's uncomfortable but it's manageable. Focus on your breathing, stay as relaxed as you can, and if you need a break just say so.

During the session

We'll talk, or we won't — whatever you prefer. Some people like to chat, some people put headphones in and zone out. Either is completely fine. My studio is calm and there's no pressure to perform or be a certain way. Just be yourself.

When it's done

I'll clean it up, wrap it, and walk you through exactly how to take care of it over the next few weeks. You'll leave with written aftercare instructions and my contact if anything comes up. The whole process from arrival to leaving is usually pretty relaxed — there's nothing to stress about.
